Chieko Ayase (綾瀬 千恵子 Ayase Chieko) is the wife of Kenji Ayase and the mother of Chitose Ayase and Chihaya Ayase.
Appearance[]
Chieko is a pale-skinned young woman with dark brown hair that is tied in a ponytail (but she sometimes leave her hair down) with cheek-length bangs going on either side and brown eyes.
She usually wears an apron when she is at home.
Personality[]
Chieko is a kind, caring, outgoing and supportive woman who has a bit of a temper sometimes and she isn't a very patient woman, just like Chitose Ayase and Chihaya Ayase.

- The name Chieko means "thousand" (千) (chi), "blessing, favor" (恵) (e) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Chieko's surname Ayase means "design" (綾) (aya) and "swift current, rapids" (瀬) (se).
Trivia[]
- Chieko doesn't give much attention to Chihaya Ayase because Chitose Ayase is the center of attention in the family due to her job as a model.
- Chieko has a part time job to afford the tuition of Chitose, support Chihaya in her Karuta and to send money to their sick grandpa on the country side [1].
